We’re mad about citrus at Greenheart. All of our juices are citrus based and we really wouldn’t have it any other way. The truth is that lemons, oranges, and limes are some of the most healing foods available. They are alkalizing, immune boosting and packed with Vitamin C which helps reduce stress, brighten skin and is a powerful antioxidant. They are essentially the perfect purifier. Our juices are all balanced with a little bit of citrus to help them achieve a crisp, refreshing taste.
This simple immune boosting tonic is best first thing in the morning (30 minutes before food) to flush the digestive system and re-hydrate the body. Beyond the fact that one lemon holds 187 percent of the daily recommended allowance of Vitamin C (wowza!), the apple cider vinegar and raw, unfiltered honey have been known to help relieve seasonal allergy symptoms, constipation, dry skin and hypertension.
Simple Immune Boosting Lemon-Aid Tonic
Ingredients
1 Cup of Water
Juice of 1 Lemon
1 tsp Apple Cider Vinegar (We love “The Mother”)
1 tsp Local Raw Honey
1 tsp Local Bee Pollen
How To
Mix all of the ingredients together and drink up, preferably early in the morning!
