Last night we attended Friends and Family night for DC’s hottest new taco stand, Chaia DC. Actually less taco-stand and more gorgeous, fast-casual restaurant, Chaia opens its doors to the public tomorrow at 3207 Grace Street NW in Georgetown. We got a sneak peak of this farm to table taco joint and couldn’t be more excited for their new location.

Chaia was founded by Suzanne Simon and Bettina Stern in an effort to share the beautiful, flavorful and healthful food they cooked for their loved ones. Their taco varieties include garlicky greens, creamy kale and potato, mushroom and moroccan carrot with other seasonal varities throughout the year. You won't find any meat on this vegetarian menu, but you can add free-range eggs for a little protein boost on the weekends. The kicker -- their dessert: a seven-spice chocolate bar, which to be fair, we didn't get to try, but do we really have to?
